BOSS' SON, THE

Year: 1978
Country: United States
Run Time: 97 minutes

With a newly earned business degree in one hand and expectations of instant wealth dancing in his head, Bobby Rose returns to Los Angeles to take over his father's carpet mill. But his father, a self-made businessman, decides Bobby needs to learn the business from the ground up. Bobby's work experience begins on the loading dock, and he soon discovers what it takes to be "boss." So begins this honest and dynamic story of corruption, power and American business. Partially based on the experiences of writer/director Bobby Roth, THE BOSS' SON is a powerful study of familial relationships, loyalty and self-discovery. Working with a mere $225,000 budget, Roth has collected a strong cast. Acclaimed actress Rita Moreno, former beach party film star James Darren and recording artist Richie Havens contribute strong characterizations to the film, a multi-award winner at the Miami International Film Festival.
