REMEMBER MY NAME

This contemporary film noir (produced by Robert Altman) is one of the most provocative and hauntingly memorable films of the Festival. Geraldine Chaplin is a murderess just released from prison, who is out to stalk and terrorize her former husband. Anthony Perkins (along with real-life wife Berry Berenson) is subjected to the pathological whims of Chaplin, whose riveting performance has won her two best actress awards. Director Alan Rudolph (1977's "Welcome to L.A.") has managed to instill a human compassion and high cinematic intelligence to this film, essentially a chilling character study of a woman scorned.
