BELLES AT THE BAR

Leo's reassignment comes at a very good time. He is suffering from a mid-life crisis, and his marriage has become ridden with conflict. So when work takes him out of town, he's glad to have a change of physical and emotional scenery for a few weeks. One day when Leo faints in the street (he has a habit of fainting), he is rescued by a beautiful woman who takes him to her home. There she reveals a familiarity with episodes from his past - for she was once Leo's cousin Giulio, and is now his cousin Giulia. In the days that follow, a whole new world opens up for Leo, a world populated by transvestites, transsexuals, and all sorts of queer characters with whom his cousin is acquainted. Giulia's cheerful disposition and passion for life lift Leo out of his depsair, but, of course, his wife is planning to visit...with BELLES AT THE BAR, Benvenuti revives the Italian comdey in grand style.
