Strolling through the city streets one night, a group of young strangers discovers a half-naked man, barely alive, bloody, and covered in dog bites. They quickly recognize him as a high-profile attorney whose controversial cases have been all over the news. No one is sure how he got there, but it’s clear the gruesome spectacle was no accident. Rushed to the emergency room, doctors work hard to keep him alive. As word reaches his wife, she frantically drives to the hospital, stricken by fear. But we soon discover her concern is not for the reasons you might expect. With an investigation into the crime looming, there’s some dark secrets she must protect. As her husband fights for his life, she’s now on a relentless—and morally questionable—mission to make sure the unconventional circumstances behind the crime are never brought to light. Pia Zemljicˇ is absolutely flawless as the loving wife, whose fierce loyalty and desperation take her to reprehensible heights.
