After the latest round of mischief from brothers Zip and Zap, their parents force them to give up their Christmas vacation and accompany them on a business trip to an obscure island. Upon losing their way deep in the woods, a dark, winding road leads the unsuspecting family to the entrance of Miss Pam’s “child home,” a haven for parentless children full of love and free of discipline. Zip and Zap wake the next morning to find their parents have mysteriously vanished, a plan Miss Pam says they had all along to rid themselves of their unruly boys. Suspicious of their new surroundings, Zip and Zap, joined by erratic bookworm Pippi and their new roommates Macky and Flecky, plot their courageous escape only to be caught in the middle of the island’s tangled web of secrets. Based on the popular Spanish comic book characters created by José Escobar Saliente, ZIP & ZAP AND THE CAPTAIN’S ISLAND takes us on a whimsical adventure full of shocking twists that will stretch imaginations of every age.
