Jacob isn’t happy to be spending part of his summer in the historical Maskachka suburb with his “know-it-all” cousin Mimmi and Uncle Eagle. His dad ignores his protests since Jacob needs somewhere to stay while his dad travels. The transition from bustling city life to the calm suburbs is difficult. Jacob quickly butts heads with Mimmi and finds his uncle’s parenting style strange. Nevertheless, when Jacob learns Mimmi’s favorite park will be demolished to build a skyscraper, he agrees to help his cousin develop a plan to stop the construction. Aided by a band of talking dogs led by a pup named Boss, Jacob and Mimmi take on the corporate conglomerate threatening the town’s quaint way of life. JACOB, MIMMI AND THE TALKING DOGS is a light-hearted animated adventure film that proves anyone can make a positive impact on their community if they are willing to work hard and are open to a little creativity.
