You will always find people who are helping.” With his boisterous personality and quick temper, Chef José Andrés is no Mister Rogers…but he is a helper. Over the last ten years, in the wake of increasingly devastating natural and social disasters around the world, Andrés and his nonprofit, World Central Kitchen, have worked tirelessly to feed as many people as they can, with passion and joy. From hurricanes and earthquakes to the COVID-19 crisis—while many are fleeing danger, Andrés heads towards epicenter after epicenter with a massive crew and a plan of action. With his experience running kitchens in high-stress environments, Andrés uses his skills to bring food to where it is needed most, catering each mission to the unique needs of the people under his care.
