CIFF43 Marketing Campaign Unveiled: WELCOME

The 43rd Cleveland International Film Festival (CIFF) is thrilled to unveil its marketing campaign: WELCOME. The simple yet powerful theme is a nod to the inclusive nature the CIFF has built over its 43 years through its diverse on-screen programming and on-site programs. The campaign is also a celebration of the hospitable nature the northeast Ohio community has shown to the thousands of guest filmmakers who have visited Cleveland to take part in the Festival over the years.

The campaign, designed by the teams at Type Twenty Seven and Fusion Filmworks, will explore the word WELCOME by pairing international languages with beautifully dramatic typography and larger-than-life images throughout Tower City Center.

“Our goal was to reflect the energy of the Festival by using bright colors, bold typography and expressive photography,” said Brittyn DeWerth Creative Director and Owner of Type Twenty Seven. “This could not have happened without Keith Berr Productions—an award-winning commercial and fine-art photographer—who brilliantly captured the look and feel we envisioned. We could not have asked for a better partnership.”

The Festival is once again working with Fusion Filmworks to produce the CIFF trailer, which will be released on Opening Night at Playhouse Square on Wednesday, March 27, 2019.

The 43rd Cleveland International Film Festival will be held March 27 – April 7, 2019 at Tower City Cinemas. More than 500 screenings will take place during the 12 days of the Festival, with over 300 guest filmmakers from around the world who will be on-hand for Q&As. CIFF43 program details will be available at clevelandfilm.org on Friday, March 1st, with Program Guides hitting the streets the week of March 4th.
